Kinesiology
Kinesiology (Kin-easy-ology) is a unique complementary health modality based on the principles of Chinese medicine combined with modern science, which looks beyond the symptoms of ill health and instead identifies, addresses and focuses on clearing the underlying core issues. Kinesiology recognises that issues can be structural, emotional, mental, electrical, chemical, nutritional, spiritual, energetic, or a combination of all of these.

Essentially, Kinesiology as used in the complementary health or natural medicine field, is defined primarily as the use of muscle testing to identify imbalances in the body's structural, chemical, emotional or other energy, to establish the body's priority healing needs, and to evaluate energy changes brought about by a broad spectrum of both manual and non-manual therapeutic procedures.

For example; if you are feeling stressed (mental issue) you can become short tempered (emotional reaction) and develop a headache (physical symptom). Modern medicine would recommend taking medication to “cure” the headache. Kinesiology is able to identify that the underlying cause of the headache is the stress and helps to clear that blockage. It is by taking into consideration all elements of a persons “being”, that Kinesiology is able to facilitate balance, health, well being, confidence, performance and vitality. For optimal health, all elements must be in harmony with one another.

Todays society can be a stressful environment that makes constant demands on our physical, mental, emotional and energy systems. These unresolved stresses can build up and block energy flow in the body. This happens subconsciously and is part of our natural survival instinct.
How Does kinesiology Work?

Kinesiology Practitioners use muscle testing -a highly accurate tool which is used as a bio feedback mechanism, to identify where energy blockages are located in the body and subconscious mind. There are over 300 gentle but powerful correction techniques used in identifying the individual needs of the client- taking into consideration that we are all unique and have different life experiences, nutritional factors and stress levels.
